Web design · You’re not alone if…

The business grew up. The site didn’t.

  1. 01

Newer competitors look sharper than you do — and you’ve noticed it on the same screen a prospect is looking at when they decide who to call.

  2. 02

You get traffic. You’re just not sure it converts — the site is slow, the path to “contact” is fuzzy, and the phone doesn’t ring like the numbers say it should.

  3. 03

Your last redesign took eight months, cost what a senior hire costs, and ended in a template you can’t tell apart from three other agencies’ templates.

  4. 04

A junior employee asked “why does our site look like that?” — and you didn’t have a good answer.

If two of those land, you’re our buyer. Here’s what we’d build instead.

Web design · The thing

A pretty site that doesn’t convert is decoration. We build the other kind.

Most agency redesigns optimize for the wrong reviewer. They’re built to win the approval of the person signing the invoice — big hero, lots of white space, a logo animation — not the person who’ll actually use the site to decide whether to hire you.

We optimize for the second person. That means the first screen says what you do and who you do it for, in plain English. It means the path to “talk to us” is never more than one click and never asks for more than it needs. It means the site loads before the prospect’s patience runs out. And it means the design is distinctive enough that it doesn’t read as “generic small-business website” — because that read costs you the click before a word is read.

Custom where it moves the needle — positioning, hooks, the actual angle. Templated where it doesn’t — the button styles, the grid, the spacing scale. That’s how the timeline collapses from quarters to weeks without the result looking collapsed.

What you get

Four things. The full stack on every build.

Not a feature list designed to look long. Four categories, scaled to your site.

01 · Strategy

Positioning & conversion plan

Week 1
  • The angle — who you’re for, what you do better, why a prospect should pick you over the agency-template across the street. Sketched in week one, signed off before design starts.
  • Page map — every page graded: keep, rewrite, redirect, or kill. You don’t lose ranking equity in the move.
  • Conversion architecture — where the CTAs go, what they say, what they ask for, and what happens after a prospect clicks.
02 · Design

Custom theme & brand system

Weeks 1–2
  • A real visual identity — colour, type, layout, image direction — not a stock template with your logo dropped in. Distinctive enough that it doesn’t read as generic.
  • Block patterns for every section type — hero, services, proof, FAQ, CTA. Your team rearranges and adds pages without touching code and without breaking the look.
  • Brand-aligned imagery — generated to match the identity. A real photoshoot is a separate engagement; you won’t be stuck with clip-art in the meantime.
03 · Copy

Plain-English page copy

Week 2
  • Every core page written — home, services, about, contact — in your voice, peer-to-peer, no jargon, no “bespoke,” no “world-class.”
  • Headlines that say something — specific over abstract. “Ranked 67 keywords in 60 days” beats “we drive measurable results.”
  • SEO fundamentals — titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, internal links, LocalBusiness schema. The basics, done right.
04 · Build

Technical foundation

Weeks 2–3
  • WordPress + Gutenberg — the platform your team can actually use, with bespoke patterns so they can’t accidentally break it. You own the theme outright.
  • Speed & accessibility built in — Lighthouse 95+, WCAG 2.1 AA, mobile-first. Not a post-launch cleanup task; a launch requirement.
  • Clean migration — 301s for everything worth keeping, no downtime, no lost equity. Plus WooCommerce when there’s a retail revenue line that needs it.

How it ships

Two to three weeks. Four phases. No black-box silence.

The same process behind every Web Design in Tampa FL build — the full version, with deliverables and timelines, lives on the process page.

01
Phase 01 · Days 1–3

Audit & angle

We grade every existing page, agree the positioning, and map the conversion path. You sign off before any pixels move.

→ Page map · positioning brief · conversion plan

02
Phase 02 · Days 3–9

Design & build the system

Custom theme, block patterns, the visual identity. You see the real thing in the browser, not a flat mockup.

→ Custom theme · block patterns · brand imagery

03
Phase 03 · Days 9–16

Copy & assemble

Every core page written in your voice and built. SEO fundamentals wired in. You review live on a staging URL.

→ All core pages · SEO basics · staging review

04
Phase 04 · Days 16–21

Migrate & launch

301s in place, no downtime, no lost equity. We hand over the keys and a short Loom on how to drive it.

→ Live site · redirect map · handover walkthrough

Pricing · No hidden number

Starts at $3,000. Here’s exactly what moves it.

We put the number on the page because we’re the kind of agency that puts the number on the page.

Most common

Refresh

$3,0002–3 weeks

For the established business that has the right pages but the wrong wrapper. New custom theme, new copy on your core pages, conversion path rebuilt, clean migration.

  • Custom theme & brand system
  • Up to ~8 core pages rewritten & built
  • Conversion architecture · SEO fundamentals
  • Brand-aligned imagery
  • Migration with 301s · no downtime
  • Lighthouse 95+ · WCAG 2.1 AA

Rebuild+

From $5,0003–4 weeks

For the business that also wants more pages — service detail pages, an industries section, location pages. If “more pages that rank” is the goal, ask us about authority sites instead — it’s purpose-built for that.

  • Everything in Refresh
  • Service detail & industry pages
  • Light location/service-area pages
  • Deeper internal-link structure
  • Optional WooCommerce build
  • Priced by page count & scope
Scope a Rebuild+
In both, always
  • Senior-led — the person doing the work is the person you talk to
  • You own the theme and the site outright at launch
  • Weekly progress, in writing — no “we’re working on it” black-box weeks
  • Fixed scope, fixed price — no surprise change orders
  • What’s not included: domain registration (~$12–15/yr, yours directly), a real photoshoot, and ongoing SEO work beyond launch (that’s the care plan or a scoped engagement)

Pairs well with

A redesign is the middle step. These come before it, replace it, or follow it — and if you want the long version of the diagnosis first, read why your website isn’t generating leads.

Before you commit

Things buyers ask.

If your question isn’t here, ask it on email. We’d rather answer once, in writing.

A custom site for $3,000? What’s the catch?

No catch. The savings come from refusing to redesign every component from scratch, refusing to run multi-week brand workshops, and refusing to layer in account managers between you and the work. Senior people, a proven system, applied fast. “Custom” goes into the parts that move the needle — your angle, your copy, your conversion path — not into reinventing button styles.

How is this different from an authority site?

A web-design rebuild is a conversion product — it makes the traffic you already get turn into calls. An authority site is an SEO product — it builds 80–200+ pages of topical depth so you get more traffic. Same brand system, same speed, same team. If your problem is “we look dated and don’t convert,” start here. If it’s “we don’t rank,” start with authority sites. The authority build includes the design work either way.

Will I lose my Google rankings in the move?

No — handled properly. In Phase 01 we grade every existing page and build a redirect map. Pages worth keeping get migrated into the new theme; the rest get 301-redirected to the most-relevant new page. Ranking equity transfers. The site doesn’t go down during the switch.

Can my team edit the site after launch?

Yes. It’s built on WordPress’s block editor with bespoke patterns for every section type. Your team can change copy, swap images, add pages, and rearrange sections without touching code — and the brand system stops them accidentally breaking the look. You own the theme outright.

Do you do eCommerce?

Yes — WooCommerce, when there’s a real retail revenue line that needs it (HVAC parts, dental supplies, that sort of thing). Product catalog, checkout, Stripe/Square, shipping logic, inventory. It’s priced into the Rebuild+ scope rather than the $3,000 Refresh.

What if my industry isn’t one you’ve done?

If you have $1M+ revenue, an established team, and a search-driven buyer, the playbook probably applies. Shipped industries: HVAC, roofing, plumbing, electrical, mold, pest, dumpster rental, lawn care, attorneys, IT/MSP, B2B services, real estate, healthcare, medspas, dental, restaurants, retail, non-profit. Email us — we’ll tell you straight whether it fits.

Stop guessing

Tell us what’s broken — we’ll tell you straight if we can fix it.

No pitch deck. No sales sequence. You fill this in, we read it, and we give you a real answer — including “not a fit right now” if that’s the truth.
